The Quattro Micro API Mass Spectrometer is a compact, benchtop LCMSMS spectrometer which provides molecular weight, structural information and quantitative data for a variety of different applications. It features a singular, air-cooled, split flow turbomolecular pump, a user-friendly source, with vertically mounted liquid inlet probe, and a built in syringe pump with Masslynx control. It contains one main PCB for easy serviceability and has a mass range of 2-2000m/z as standard.
The Quattro Micro consists of an argon filled, hexapole collision cell sandwiched in-between two quadrupole analysers. These two quadrupoles can be scanned separately or together. An off axis Dynolite photomultiplier detector is positioned after the second quadrupole, at 90 to the analyser. The marketing specification for sensitivity is a 2-3-fold increase when compared with the Quattro LC.
An electrospray probe is a standard part of the Quattro Micro, but ApCI ionisation, IonSABRE APCI and 4 way MUX-technology can be bought as options. The Quattro Micro API incorporates an
embedded PC for “intelligent” data acquisition and direct instrument control through Masslynx, which enables fast acquisition rates of up to 5000amu/sec.
