Providion has been an independent mass spectrometer support company since 1996, delivering reliable, tailored solutions to help our customers succeed.

Founded by Karl Idowu, now Founder and Chairman, our company was built on deep technical expertise and a commitment to raising the standard of instrument support. With a background as an OEM-trained Senior Engineer, Karl established the business with a clear vision to deliver dependable, expert-level service that laboratories can trust.

Today, the company is led by Joanne Idowu and supported by a highly experienced team with an average of over 20 years in the industry. Together, we bring more than 35 years of combined expertise to every instrument we service, refurbish, and support.

In 2024 alone, we provided service and support for over 350 instruments across the UK, EU, Canada, and the USA. From preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to full refurbishments and installations, our focus remains the same: precision, reliability, and long-term performance.

Expertise

Our Senior technical team were trained by the manufacturers (Waters & Sciex) and have been in the mass spectrometry service industry since 1989. Our in-depth training programs for our apprentices & junior engineers bring the next generation of MS experts up to speed quickly, comprehensively, with both theoretical & hands-on training at our Training Centre and in Customer Labs.

Training & Support

The Providion Training Centre at our UK head Office offers customised, hands-on instrument training on a wide variety of analytical instruments from most major manufacturers, covering topics such as theory, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
